Early1900’s French or English Inlaid Faux Tortoise Shell Cigarette Case measuring 3-3/4” by 3” by 5/8”.  Hinges and latch are tight and strong, although original elastic insert is stretched out and should be replaced.  No chips or cracks and all inlaid pieces are intact while Tortoise Shell shows surface wear consistent with age along with several more pronounced scratches to the back side.  This charming case with an exceptionally well executed unusual Multi Colored Mother of Pearl Mosaic & Silver Wire Inlaid Sailing Ship would be great for business cards or as an “evening out” holder for cash and or credit cards.  Please see all images for more details.
